ASPEN UNITED SOCCER CLUB COMITTMENT AGREEMENT
- Aspen United Soccer Club is a competitive club and all players are expected to commit to the sport during its season and to do their best to attend practices and game
- All teams practice two times a week or 1 ½ hour per practice session. In some cases, a third practice (either club-wide or individual team) may be offered.
- Players should bring soccer shoes, shin guards, comfortable athletic shorts, t-shirt, warm/cold weather exercise clothes, sunscreen, WATER, snacks if appropriate. Be prepared for all types of exercise, weather and field conditions.
- Players should come to practice with a great attitude and a willingness to be a team player.
- Players should arrive on time and ready to participate.
- Players should plan on starting practice two weeks prior to the first scheduled game
- Should a player not be able to attend a practice or game, communication should be made with the team coach and team manager by email or phone (as the coach prefers). If a player fails to communicate with the team manager and coach or misses too many practices or games, the player risks the possibility of being dropped from the team. No refunds.
- For games, players must wear their complete AUSC uniform, soccer shoes and shin guards. Players should provide their own water and appropriate snack if necessary. Good sportsmanship and a willingness to be a great ambassador for Aspen is always expected. Game schedules are posted on www.wsslsoccer.com. Most games are played on Saturdays and an occasional Sunday as well as some weekday games as needed. Game changes will be communicated by the team manager.
- The club hotline (544-5588) will be updated by 1 p.m. on practice days. Team managers will be notified of closures and location changes (for example, to the Tot Lot off of Cemetery Lane). Fields may be closed at any time by the City of Aspen should weather conditions cause damage to the playing surface. Team managers will do their best to communicate changes to parents in advance of practice times but please be aware that last minute changes may take place.
- Practices or games may be cancelled or postponed due to lightening.
- AUSC Team travel. Parents are responsible for arranging transportation for their player to and from practices and games.
